Hattiesburg, MS - The Knights were on the road on Friday, April 5th as they traveled to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take on the Crusaders of William Carey University. The Knights faced a tough test as both teams were ranked in the top-25 in the latest NAIA poll.

Game One

The Knights would hit singles in both the first and second innings of the first game of the series but would come away with no runs as the Crusaders would score one run in the first inning and two runs in the third inning as the Knights would face a 3-0 deficit. The Knights would get a run back in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Georgia Bice but the Crusaders would answer back in the bottom half of the inning with two more runs. The Knights would threaten in the fifth inning as they would load the bases with two outs but would come away with no runs as they would lose the first game of the series 5-1.

Game Two

The second game of the series would turn into a pitcher's duel as the Knights would get two runners on base in the first inning but would be unable to score as the Crusaders would score one run in the bottom half of the inning and the Knights would trail 1-0. The offense would come to a halt as the Knights would be unable to get a runner on base until the seventh inning with a walk but the Knights would not have an answer as they would lose the second game of the day 1-0.

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, April 6th when they take on the Rams of the University of Mobile. First pitch is scheduled for 12 PM CST.
