Indianapolis, IN - The Knights were back on the field on Wednesday, May 15th after multiple rain delays would force the Knights to play later than scheduled. The Knights were set to take on the 4-seed Saints of Aquinas College in an elimination game.
The Knights would have a good start as they would keep the Saints from getting on base in the first inning and the Knights would get two runners on base in the bottom half of the inning but would come away with no runs. The Knights would give up four runs in the third inning as they would face a 4-0 deficit and have to mount a comeback. The Knights would score one run in the sixth inning after a lead off single by
Taylor Layne and a sacrifice bunt by
Christina Zeppa would set the Knights up to score on an error by the Saints as they would close the gap to 4-1. The one run would be all the Knights could muster as they would lose the game 4-1.
The Knights finish the season with a record of 33-16.
