Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LaGrange, GA - The Knights were on the road on Saturday, August 31st as they traveled to LaGrange, Georgia to take part in a tri-match with Pensacola Christian College and LaGrange College. The Knights were coming off a 1-2 showing at the Running Ealge Classic and looking to pick up a couple of wins.

First Match - Pensacola Christian

The Knights lost the match 3-1. Official stats have not been provided and will be updated as soon as possible.

Second Match - LaGrange College

The Knights would come out against the Panthers a bit sluggish as they would fall behind 5-2 but the Knights would come back to tie the set at 7-7. The Knights would take a 17-15 lead later in the set but the Panthers would use seven straight points to take the lead as the Knights would lose 25-23. The Knights would win the first two points of the second set and would retain the lead throughout the entire set as they would win the set 25-14 and tie the match at 1-1. The Knights would start the third set off the same way with two points early and six straight points later in the set to win 25-17. The Knights would play the fourth set close before the Panthers would jump out to a 12-7 lead. The Knights would use a six point run to take the lead but the Panthers would win six of the last seven points to take the fourth set. The Knights would jump out to a 3-1 lead in the fifth set but the Panthers would score nine of the next 11 points and the Knights would be unable to rally as they would lose the fifth set 15-10 and lose the match 3-2. Yanelis Rodriguez led the Knights with 16 kills, Ellie Johnson led with 18 assists, and Paige Collier led with 24 digs.

The Knights will be back on the court on Tuesday, September 3rd when they travel to Albany, Georgia to take on the Golden Rams of Albany State University. That match is set to start at 6 PM EST.
