Cochran, GA - The Knights were back in action on Saturday, September 7th as they were ready to take on the Golden Rams of Albany State University. The Knights were coming off of a road loss to Valdosta State University on Thursday and were looking to turn their luck around.
The Knights would be on the offensive side of the ball most of the day with Albany State only having two shots in the first half. The Knights would fire off 18 shots in the first half with one finding the back of the net in the 39th minute off the foot of
Eliza Telford to give the Knights a 1-0 lead going into halftime. The offense would continue to dominate in the second half as the Knights would fire off another 16 shots with the lone goal coming in the 87th minute on a penalty kick by
Hanna Lemoine to give the Knights the 2-0 win.
The win is the Knights first win of the season as they will hit the road on Wednesday, September 11th for a matchup against the Bobcats of Georgia College. That match is set to kick off at 7 PM EST.
