Mobile, Alabama - The Knights hit the road on Thursday, January 16th as they traveled to Mobile, Alabama to take on the Rams of the University of Mobile. The Knights were trying to break a long standing losing streak.
The game started off slow for both teams with the Knights scoring their first point with 5:46 remaining in the first quarter and they grabbed the 3-2 lead with 5:05 remaining. The action picked up late in the first quarter with both teams starting to find their rhythm with the Knights trailing 15-10 at the end of the quarter. The deficit for the Knights grew in the second quarter to double digits as another scoring drought for the Knights put them down 33-21 at the halftime break. The Knights made the first basket of the third quarter but a 12-0 run by the Rams put the Knights down by more than 20 points. The Knights trailed by 27 points at the end of the third quarter and would hold with the Rams in the fourth quarter with the Knights losing 80-54.
Keiane' Rollins led the Knights with 18 points and
ZaKyria Johnson added 13 points while the team committed 23 turnovers.
The Knights return to action on Thursday, January 23rd when they host the Crusaders of William Carey University. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
