Box Score Montgomery, AL - The Knights Men's Tennis team got their season started on Sunday, January 26th when they hit the road for a match against NCAA D-II #28 Auburn-Montgomery. The Knights were ranked 3rd in the NAIA with the familiar matchup ahead as the Knights regularly open the season with the Warhawks.
Adria Pratdepadua and
Dominik Simunovic started the match as the #1 doubles team. They would lose the match to the Warhawks #1 team 6-2. The #2 doubles match saw Daniel Garcia Suarez team up with
Duarte Mestre as they would have some success and win the match 6-4. The doubles point would come down to the #3 doubles team of
Samyak Bajracharya and
Neill Pillai who would lose 6-2. Simunovic was the first player for the Knights that would finish their singles match as he would withdraw due to injury. The #1 singles match and #3 singles match were the other two matches to finish for the Knights with both matches resulting in a loss for the Knights. The Knights would lose the overall match 4-0.
The Knights will return to the court on Friday, January 31st when they travel to Kansas City, Missouri to take part in the ITA Indoor National tournament.
