LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Knights got back on the road on Monday as they headed to Lagrange, Georgia to take on the Panthers of D-III Lagrange College. The Knights were in need of a win before heading into the final stretch of matches and were looking to find it against the Panthers.
The match was all in favor of the Knights as they controlled the match from the start. The Knights got off a couple of shots in the first five minutes of play before
Fiona Madigan put the Knights on the scoreboard in the 13th minute with an assist from
Nicole Beasley. The Knights kept attacking the Panthers and found the back of the net again in the 26th minute with a goal from
Nicole Beasley. The Knights continued to fire shots at the Panthers but the keeper was able to save those shots as the Knights led 2-0 at halftime. The Knights stayed on the attack in the second half with six shots but none were able to find the net as the Panthers only two shots came in the second half and both were saved by
Diana Cipriano in the 2-0 shutout victory. The Knights out shot the Panthers 19-2, 12-2 in shots on goal.
The Knights will be back on their home pitch on Saturday, October 25th as they host the Bearcats of Lander University. Kick off is scheduled for 1:30 PM EST.
