Box Score AIKEN, S.C. - The Knights were back on the court on Saturday as they played their second match in two days against the Pacers of USC-Aiken. The Knights were looking to have a better match than their match on Friday that saw them lose 3-0.
The Knights got off to a rough start as they lost the first three points of the first set and quickly fell behind 12-3. The Knights got within six points but the Pacers pulled away to win the set 25-11. The second set started much like the first as the Knights lost the first six points. The Knights cut the lead down to two points before the Pacers took control of the set. An eight point run by the Pacers put the Knights out of contention for the set as they lost 25-12. The Knights started the third set better than the first two as they kept up with the Pacers and held a two point lead. After being tied at 12-12, the Pacers slowly inched away from the Knights as the set finished in favor of the Pacers, 25-16.
Ellie Johnson led the Knights with 10 kills,
Aubrie Beard had 13 assists, and
Paige Collier had 13 digs.
The Knights will return home for their next match on Tuesday, November 4th as they host the Golden Rams of Albany State University. Tip off is scheduled for 6 PM EST.
