Mount Vernon, GA - The Knights were on the road for their final regular season game of the year on Saturday, February 22nd as they traveled to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. The Knights were looking to end the season on a high note after winning their previous game.
The Knights jumped out to an early 4-2 lead but a scoring drought put them behind. The Knights were only down six points when they made their next basket and were down by five points at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw the Barons race away from the Knights with the Knights being outscored 30-11 in the quarter and the Knights faced a 46-22 deficit at halftime. The Knights deficit grew in the third quarter to 31 points but they would end the quarter down 65-37. The Knights went down by 32 points in the fourth quarter but came back late to lose 74-48.
ZaKyria Johnson led the Knights with 17 points and eight rebounds.
The Knights finish the season with a 3-19, 3-13 SSAC record.
