Knights Volleyball Ready to Begin New Era

MACON, Ga. – New MGA head volleyball coach Cara MacFarland is excited to announce the Fall schedule as the Knights move into NCAA Division II and the Peach Belt Conference.
 
The Knights will tip off their inaugural NCAA season with an exhibition against cross-town opponent Wesleyan College and an intrasquad scrimmage. The regular season will start on September 4th on the road against the Tigers of Savannah State before hosting the Tigers on September 6th. The Knights will begin a road trip on September 11th when they travel to Emmanuel University, Life University, and Albany State University. The Knights return home on September 20th when they host Baptist University of Florida before playing the Eagles again on the road.
 
The Knights open Peach Belt Conference play on September 26th as they take on the Jaguars of Augusta University on the road in a tri-match with the University of Mount Olive. The Knights will play their first home Peach Belt match on September 27th against Lander University at 3 pm. The Knights will host Flagler College on October 3rd before hitting the road for a match against Georgia College and a tri-match against Clark Atlanta University and Shorter University.
 
The Knights return home on October 10th for a match against USC-Aiken before heading to Lander University for two matches. The Knights will host Augusta University on October 23rd before travelling to Augusta, Georgia to take on the Jaguars and Lees-McRae College in a tri-match. The Knights will remain on the road for two matches against USC-Aiken before returning home to take on the Golden Rams of Albany State University. The Knights round out the regular season with two matches on the road against Flagler College before hosting the Bobcats of Georgia College on November 14th and 15th.
 
As provisional members of the NCAA Division II, the Knights are ineligible for NCAA postseason but are eligible for Peach Belt Conference postseason.
