MACON, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference announced the 2026 Men's Tennis Preseason Poll on Tuesday, January 20
th and the Knights were picked to finish seventh. The Knights look to carry their past success into the NCAA era as they return six players from last season's squad.
Middle Georgia men's tennis is coming off a second-place finish in their last season of competition within the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) while once again advancing to the NAIA National Tournament.
For the third year in a row, Flagler have been selected as favorites for the 2026 season in the PBC. The Saints received five first place votes from the league's coaches, with Columbus State receiving two votes.
The Saints captured the PBC Regular Season title and PBC Tournament title in 2025, going undefeated in conference play and securing their second consecutive Regular Season and Tournament titles.
Columbus State closed out the 2025 season second in the PBC standings. The Cougars fell in the PBC Tournament semi-finals, but continued to fight through the NCAA Tournament, bringing home two wins and advancing to the National Championship site. Columbus State open the 2026 season ranked #11 nationally in the ITA coaches' poll.
North Georgia closed out the 2025 regular season in a tie for third in conference. The Nighthawks built momentum in the PBC Tournament, making their way to the final before falling to Flagler. The Nighthawks continued that momentum into the NCAA Tournament, winning their first two matches and advancing to the National Championship site for the first time in program history. North Georgia opens the 2026 season ranked #10 nationally in the ITA coaches' poll.
Lander, GCSU, Augusta and Middle Georgia round out the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Knights open their season on February 1
st at home against Auburn-Montgomery and start conference play on March 28
th against Georgia College. The Peach Belt Conference Tournament runs April 24
th-April 26
th.
