MORROW, Ga. - The Knights were on the road for the final time this regular season as they headed to Morrow, Georgia to take on the Lakers of Clayton State University. The Knights lost to the Lakers at home earlier in the season and looked to avenge that loss as a win all but locked up a home playoff match.
The hopes of the Knights were dashed early in the match as the Lakers scored two goals in the first 13 minutes of the match. The Knights had only two shots in the first half as the Lakers controlled the match. The Knights were more aggressive in the second half as they started to get off more shots. The Lakers made the most of an opportunity as they scored again in the 80th minute to put the Knights behind 3-0. The Knights attempted to make a late run with goals in the 84th and 87th minutes from Zach Whipple and
Kyle Massingham but they were unable to put the equalizer in the net as they lost 3-2.
The Knights drop to 5-10-3, 3-7-2 PBC and fall to sixth in the PBC standings. The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, October 31st when they head back to Morrow to take on the Lakers for the third time this season. Kick off is TBA.
