TIFTON, Ga. - The Knights hit the road again on Tuesday, February 10th as they headed to Tifton, Georgia to take on the Fillies of ABAC. Both teams were looking for their first win of the season.

Match Recap

The Knights had no problem getting out to a lead in doubles play as the Fillies did not have enough players to fill three doubles teams so the first point went to the Knights. They got a 6-2 win in the #2 doubles match from Irina Furtuna and Agustina Olivero to clinch the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead.

Singles play was more of the same story as the Fillies only had five players so the Knights got a win by default to take a 2-0 lead. Ainhoa Meili Fernandez del Moral won the #1 singles match without dropping a point and they clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the #3 singles match from Lucile Gence. The Knights won the other three singles matches without much resistance as they cruised to a 7-0 win.

The Knights only dropped 17 points across all nine matches on the day.

What's Next

The Knights head back out on the road on Friday, February 20th as they head to Greeneville, Tennessee to take on the Pioneers of Tusculum University. The match is scheduled to start at 10 AM EST.
