JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Knights hit the road on Friday, February 20th as they headed to Jefferson City, Tennessee to take on the Eagles of Carson-Newman University. The Knights had an easy win against ABAC for their first win of the season while the Eagles had won their three previous matches.

The Knights had to come from behind early as they lost the #2 doubles match and needed to win the other two to secure the point. The Knights won the #3 doubles match 6-4 to tie the Eagles and the point came down the #1 doubles match which the Knights won 7-6 to get the point. The Knights went up 2-0 after Agustina Olivero won the #4 singles match 6-2, 6-2 but the Eagles were able to win the #3 singles match to gain a point. The Knights won the #5 singles match 6-1, 6-3 with Irina Furtuna and secure the win with a 6-3, 7-5 win from Yana Prihach in the #6 singles match.

Yana Prihach went 2-0, winning in both doubles and singles competition.

What's Next

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, February 28th as they head to Young Harris, Georgia to take on the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College. That match is scheduled to start at 10 AM EST.
