COCHRAN, Ga. – The Knights were back at home on Wednesday, February 25th as they hosted the 11th-ranked Cougars of Columbus State University. The Knights were trying to end a two-game losing skid while the Cougars were on a 10-game winning streak.
Game Recap
The Knights jumped out to an early four point lead but the Cougars started to find their shooting touch as they tied the game at 8-8. The Knights went up by four points again but the Cougars ended the first quarter with a ten point run as the Knights trailed 18-12.The Knights clawed their way back in the second quarter to gain a late four point lead but another scoreless streak back to the Cougars as the Knights trailed 35-31 at halftime.
The third quarter was a similar one to the second quarter as the Knights started the quarter down but fought their way back to take the lead. The Knights held a one point lead but the Cougars got back into their rhythm and the Knights were behind by five points to start the fourth quarter. The Cougars built an 11 point lead in the fourth quarter but a late surge by the Knights cut the deficit down to five points. Five points was as close as they would get as the Knights lost 74-65

Kennedi Hawkins notched her tenth double-double of the season with 14 points and 16 rebounds as
Mauryah Jones led the way with 18 points and
Kristen Foglia added 16 points.

The Knights will be back in action at home for the final time this regular season on Saturday, February 28th when they host the Bearcats of Lander University. Tip off is scheduled for 1:30 PM EST.
