DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Knights hit the road on Friday, February 27th as they headed to Dahlonega, Georgia to take on the 16th-ranked Nighthawks of North Georgia. The Knights were losers of their last two games while the Nighthawks lost their last game against Montevallo.

The Knights jumped on the Nighthawks early with a solo home run from
Mikal Ashley in the first inning to go up 1-0 but the Nighthawks countered back with onr run in the bottom half of the inning on a bases loaded walk. A two-run single in the third inning put the Nighthawks ahead 3-1 but the Knights answered back in the fourth inning with an RBI single from
Patrick Crosby and a sacrifice fly from
Seve Fernandez to tie the game at 3-3. The Nighthawks went ahead in the bottom half of the inning with a sacrifice fly but the lead did not last long as
Teonis Pimentel led off the top half of the fifth inning with a solo home run to knot the game at 4-4. Another bases loaded walk put the Nighthawks up 5-4 but Pimentel hit an RBI single in the sixth inning to tie the game back up at 5-5. The Nighthawks scored four runs in the sixth inning on two two-run home runs and scored six runs in the seventh to force the mercy rule as the Knights lost 15-5.

The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, February 28th for the second game of their series against the Nighthawks of North Georgia. First pitch is scheduled for 2 PM EST.
