VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Knights hit the road for their first NCAA match in program history as they headed to Valdosta, Georgia to take on the Blazers of Valdosta State University. The Knights were up against a tough test as the Blazers were ranked second in the first ITA rankings of the season.

The Knights looked to take the doubles point to get off to a good start. They lost the #3 doubles match but were able to secure a 6-4 victory from Alejandro Viziso and Duarte Mestre in the #2 doubles match to force the point to the final match. The Knights picked up the point with a 6-4 win from Danial Garcia Suarez and Alexandr Achour to take the lead heading into singles competition.

The Knights lost the lead in the match after losing the #5 and #4 singles matches but tied the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win in the #3 singles match from Alexandr Achour. The Blazers won the final three singles matches and the Knights lost the match 5-2.

The Knights will hit the court again on Tuesday, February 10th when they face the Stallions of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Match is scheduled to start at 1 PM EST.
