VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Knights hit the road for their first match of the season on Tuesday, February 3rd as they headed to Valdosta, Georgia to take on the Blazers of Valdosta State University. The Knights looked to carry their success over from NAIA to NCAA and the match against the Blazers would be a great test to see where they stood.

The Knights tried to take the first point of the match in doubles as they lost the #1 doubles match but got a win in the #3 doubles match from Yana Prihach and Aya El Marrasse Zarioui to force the point down to the #2 doubles match. The match came down to the wire as it would go all the way to a tiebreaker that the Blazers won and the Knights lost the first point.

The Blazers secured the match with wins in the #5, #6, #4, and #2 singles matches but the Knights fought for points as Ainhoa Meili Fernandez del Moral won the #1 singles match 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 and Lucile Gence won the #3 singles match 7-6, 6-4.

The Knights will hit the court again on Tuesday, February 10th when they face the Fillies of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Match is scheduled to start at 1 PM EST.
