BEAUFORT, S.C. - The Knights were back on the road on Saturday, February 7th as they headed to Beaufort, South Carolina to take on the Sand Sharks of USC-Beaufort. The Knights were looking for any kind of spark they could find to get back in the win column as they were on a six game losing streak.

Game Recap

The Knights fell behind early as the Sand Sharks scored the first five points of the game and the Knights had to fight to get back in the game. The deficit for the Knights grew to ten points with 14:44 left in the first half but the Knights were able to cut the lead down to two points in the next four minutes. The Sand Sharks kept the lead and maintained it until halftime as the Knights were down 35-29 heading into the break.

The Knights were able to hold their own against the Sand Sharks to start the second half as the deficit was four points with 15:04 left in the game. The Sand Sharks started to get hot as the Knights saw the deficit grow to 15 points. The Knights tried to get back in the game late as they cut the lead down to nine points but the Sand Sharks held on to the lead and the Knights lost the game 89-74.

Notable Performances

OT Delancy led the Knights with 17 points going 13-for-17 at the free throw line while Joshua Robertson scored 16 points and Kameron Plummer added 15 points off of the bench.

The Knights will return home for their next game on Wednesday, February 11th as they host the Lakers of Clayton State University. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
