FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Knights hit the road on Tuesday, March 10th as they headed to Franklin Springs, Georgia to take on the Lions of Emmanuel University. The Knights and Lions played earlier in the season with the Lions coming away with the 6-5 win.

The Knights got started early with a lead off single and stolen base from
Teonis Pimentel set up
Sebastian Collender for the RBI single to put the Knights up 1-0 after the first inning. The Knights threatened again as they loaded the bases in both the second and fourth innings but came away with no runs. An RBI single by
Justin Aponte in the fifth inning and an RBI single by
Mikal Ashley in the sixth inning extended the lead for the Knights to 3-0 and they kept firing as they scored three runs in the eighth inning with an RBI single from Ashley and a two-run single from
Patrick Crosby. The Knights went up 6-0 as they closed out the game and kept the shutout intact.
Notable Performances
Luke Davis went 4-for-5 and
Sebastian Collender went 3-for-4 at the plate while the pitching staff of six different Knights threw a four hit shutout while striking out 11 batters.

The Knights return home for a weekend series against the Jaguars of Augusta University with the first game on Friday, March 13th. First pitch is scheduled for 4 PM EST.
