GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Knights were back on the road on Saturday, April 11th as they headed to Greenwood, South Carolina to take on the 22nd-ranked Bearcats of Lander University. The Knights were looking to get back in the win column with an upset.
Match Recap
The Knights had to face two of the top doubles teams in the NCAA Division II rankings as they face a tough test. The Bearcats won the #2 and #3 doubles matches to take the point while the #1 doubles match was tied at 5-5 at the conclusion of the other matches. The Knights lost the #1 and #4 singles matches in straight sets as they faced an uphill battle to win the match. They got a point in the #2 singles match from Daniel Garcia Suarez as he won 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 to put the Knights down 3-1. The Bearcats won the #5 singles match to clinch the match but used three sets to do so. The #6 singles match went three sets as the Knights forced a tiebreak in the final set but lost the match. Alexandr Achour as he won 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 and the Knights lost the match 5-2.

The Knights will return home for their next match on Wednesday, April 15th when they face the Jaguars of Augusta University. That match is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM EST.
