MACON, Ga. - The Knights were back at home on Wednesday, April 15th as they hosted the 40th-ranked Jaguars of Augusta University. The Knights were looking to get another conference win while the Jaguars were still looking for their first of the season.

Match Recap

The Knights dropped the first doubles match to finish as they would have to win the other two matches to get the point. The Knights did just that as they got the 6-4 win in the #2 doubles match and a 7-5 win in the #1 doubles match to take the doubles point and lead the match 1-0. A quick 6-2, 6-1 win by Alejandro Vizoso in the #1 singles match gave the Knights a 2-0 lead but the Jaguars won the #4 singles match to pull back to within a point. The Knights picked up a 7-6, 6-4 win in the #2 singles match from Daniel Garcia Suarez to put themselves one point away from the win and got the clinching point with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 win from Alexandr Achour in the #3 singles match. The remaining two matches were played out and the Knights won both as they cruised to a 6-1 win.

Notable Performances

Alexandr Achour came up clutch for the Knights as he was involved with the clinching doubles match as well as the clinching singles match.

The Knights will be back at home for their next match on Friday, April 17th when they face the Nighthawks of North Georgia. That match is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM EST.
