GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Knights were back on the road on Saturday, April 11th as they headed to Greenwood, South Carolina to take on the Bearcats of Lander University. The Knights were ranked 42nd in the latest ITA rankings and looked to keep up their momentum with another win.

Match Recap

The Knights looked to be on their way to another win as they easily won the doubles point with 6-2 wins in the #2 and #3 matches as they went up 1-0. Lucile Gence put the Knights up 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the #3 singles match but the Bearcats won the #2 singles match to get back to within one point. The Knights extended their lead again with a 6-3, 6-1 win in the #5 singles match from Yana Prihach but the Bearcats again closed the gap with a win in the #1 singles match. The Knights clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-4 win in the #4 singles match from Agustina Olivero and won the final point with a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the #6 singles match that gave the Knights a 5-2 win.

Yana Prihach and Lucile Gence each went 2-0 on the day.

The Knights will return home for their next match on Wednesday, April 15th when they face the Jaguars of Augusta University. That match is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM EST.
