COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back in action on Friday, April 3rd as they hosted the Cougars of Columbus State University for the second game of their Peach Belt Conference series. The Knights won the first game of the series on Thursday and were looking to lock up the series win.

The Cougars loaded the bases in the first inning with no outs as they scored a run on a fielder's choice to take a 1-0 lead as the Knights kept them from having a big inning. The game moved quickly as neither team built momentum until the Knights put together a rally in the fifth inning. After a hit by pitch and a sacrifice bunt,
Teonis Pimentel hit an RBI single to tie the game at 1-1. The lead did not last long as the Cougars hit back-to-back doubles in the sixth inning with two outs to retake the lead. The Knights got one more chance in the eighth inning when
Justin Aponte hit a leadoff single and stole second base to set up Sebatian Collender with a single but Aponte was cut down at the plate and the Cougars held on to win the game 2-1.
