COCHRAN, Ga. – The student-athletes of Middle Georgia State University continued their upward trend of academic achievement in the Spring semester as 186 student-athletes put together a record-high cumulative grade point average of 3.25. A total of 29 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA while another 48 student-athletes attained a GPA of 3.5 and above for the Spring term.
The MGA women's soccer was the highest achieving team for the second straight semester with an overall team GPA of 3.57 with the women's tennis team coming in with a 3.51 GPA. The women's cross country team came in next at a 3.49 GPA to round out the top three performing teams. Nine out of the ten teams were able to achieve higher than a 3.1 GPA.
