GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Knights were back in action on the road on Saturday, September 19th as they were set to take on the Bearcats of Lander University. The Knights were looking to erase a two-match losing streak while the Bearcats were looking to extend their winning streak.
The first set saw a close start as the set was tied at 10-10 until the Bearcats used a six-point run to take the lead and went on to win the set 25-22. Another close start in the second set saw a 7-7 tie when the Bearcats won 10 of 13 points to pull away to a 25-18 set win. The Knights stayed close at the start of the third set until the Bearcats won 7 of 8 points to jump out to a seven point lead and the Knights lost the set 25-15
McCall Wolf led the Knights with seven kills on the night,
Aubrie Beard had 10 assists and
Trinity Mitchell tallied 22 digs.
The Knights fall to 2-12 (0-2 PBC) as they return home for their next match on Tuesday, September 22nd against the Lions of Emmanuel University. Tip off is scheduled for 6 PM EST.
