Scott Moe

Coach Moe was hired in 2000 as the Head Women's Basketball Coach for Middle Georgia College. One year later, Moe was asked to take over the Men's program and has coached the Warriors and Knights for the past 26 years at Middle Georgia College, Middle Georgia State College, and currently Middle Georgia State University. This season will be Moe's 27th season at Middle Georgia. Moe is currently the longest active head basketball coach in the state of Georgia in consecutive seasons at the same institution. Moe has taken the program from the NJCAA to the NAIA and now to the NCAA Division II as members of the Peach Belt Conference.

The 2024-25 season saw one of the best for Middle Georgia during their stint in the NAIA, as they posted a record of 19-9 and earned a berth in the SSAC conference championship game as well as a bid to the NAIA National Tournament. The National Tournament berth was the first for the Knights in the NAIA era. Moe guided the Knights to a record of 153-146 during the 11 year stint in the NAIA while appeaering in three SSAC Championship games.

Moe started his coaching career at Duluth High School as an assistant basketball and football coach from 1988-1991. In 1991, he joined the staff at Valdosta State University as the assistant men's basketball coach. In 2000, Moe's first season at Middle Georgia, his Women's team posted a 16-13 record before being asked to take over the Men's program in 2001. In the 13 seasons as a member of the NJCAA, Moe posted a 222-146 record (Moe did not coach in the 2004-05 season) highlighted by their 2010 season. The Warriors won the GCAA regular season title and the Region XVII tournament and would go on to win a game in the national tournament for the first time in 30 years. Moe was also named GCAA Coach of the Year, Region XVII and District XIII Coach of the Year. Moe's overall record at Middle Georgia is 391-305.

Coach Moe is married to Janet Moe. They have a son, Zach Moe, and a daughter-in-law, Rachel Moe, who live in Huntsville, Alabama. Their daughter, Hannah Deloach, lives in Vancouver, Washington. Another daughter, Kiley McCullers, and her husband, Carson McCullers, reside in Suwanee, Georgia. Their son, Bray Deloach, lives in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Their daughter, Macy Moe, lives in Atlanta, Georgia. The Moe's have two grandchildren, Zion and Pearl, who live with their parents in Huntsville, Alabama.
