Jurnee Powell

Jurnee Powell, hailing from Dodge County, began her basketball journey at Dodge County High School, where she dedicated four years to the Dodge County Squaws. After high school, she embarked on her college basketball career, initially signing with Fort Valley State University before transferring to Middle Georgia State University.
 
During her time at Middle Georgia State University, she played a significant role in setting program records for wins, conference victories, and consecutive triumphs. Jurnee’s basketball prowess shone during her three seasons with the Middle Georgia State University Knights Women’s Basketball team, culminating in their 2020-2021 SSAC East Division Conference Championship. She was also honored as the SSAC Player of the Week in 2021-2022 and recognized for her outstanding character as the Champions of Character in the same year.
 
In May 2022, Jurnee proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Middle Georgia State University. Jurnee is the daughter of LeNiece (Leon) Johnson and Greg Powell.
