Tuscaloosa, AL - The Knights were back in action and on the road Thursday as they traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to take on the Tigers of Stillman College. The Knights were looking for their first conference win of the season.
The Knights would fall behind early in the first quarter as they would be down 9-3 but would use a seven point run to take a 12-10 lead. The Tigers would use an eight point to close out the first quarter as the Knights would be down 22-14. The Knights would remain behind the Tigers throughout the second quarter as neither team could sustain a run until the Knights would score the final five points of the quarter to cut the lead down to 33-31 at the halftime break. The Knights would remain hot after the break as they would open the third quarter with six straight points to take a four point lead. The Knights would continue to lead the Tigers and would take a 50-47 lead into the fourth quarter. The Knights would use a 10 point run to open the fourth quarter to jump out to a 60-47 lead and would never look back as the Knights would go on to win the game 74-59.
Destanee Wright led the Knights with 19 points as
Rykia Pennamon,
Kassidy Broussard, and
Jessica Belcher would each reach double digits.
The Knights will remain on the road as they will travel to Blue Mountain, Mississippi to take on the Toppers of Blue Mountain College on Saturday, December 4th. That game will tip-off at 1 PM EST/12 PM CST.
