Cochran, GA - The Knights were back at home on Thursday, November 17th as they hosted the Toppers of Blue Mountain Christian University in the first SSAC game of the season. The Knights were coming off of two exhibition games within the past week and looking to start the conference schedule off strong. The Knights looked to be in for a tough game as both teams would trade the lead multiple times in the first quarter with the Knights leading 22-20 at the end of the quarter. The Knights would lose the lead in the second quarter, trailing for a majority of the quarter, and would trail 42-38 at the halftime break. The Knights would continue to trail in the third quarter, with their largest deficit of 13 points coming with 2:39 remaining in the quarter, as they would trail 62-51 at the end of the third quarter. The Knights would not quit as they would have a monster fourth quarter, outscoring the Toppers 27-11 in the final quarter to win the game 78-73. Destanee Wright led all scorers with 39 points and added 13 rebounds to record the double-double. The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, November 19th as they will host the Crusaders of William Carey University. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 PM EST.
