Montgomery, AL - The Knights were on the road this past weekend as they traveled to Montgomery, Alabama ato take part in the Jimmy Faulkner Classic. The Knights were set to take on Oakwood University on Friday, November 4th and Freed-Hardeman University on Saturday, November 5th. The Knights were coming off a win against Coastal Georgia and were riding a two-game winning streak. The Knights were in for a tough game on Friday as both teams could not pull away from each other with the lead changing hands multiple times early in the first half. The Knights would get out to a seven point lead late in the first half and would lead 48-46 at the halftime break. The Knights would fall behind early in the second half before coming back to take the lead with 10 minutes remaining in the game and would never relinquish it again as they would go on to win 92-85. The Knights would come back on Saturday to play the Lions as they looked to continue to ride their winning streak. The Knights would fall behind early in the first half but would go on a run to tie the game at 14-14. The Lions would overpower the Knights later in the first half as the Knights would fall behind again and would trail 44-31 at halftime. The deficit for the Knights would continue to grow in the second half as the Knights would trail by 22 points with 12:46 remaining in the game. The Knights would find a spark as they would try to make a comeback, closing the gap down to two points with 4:26 remaining in the game. The Knights would run out of gas as the Lions would pull back ahead and the Knights would lose the game 95-87. The Knights will be back on the road on Wednesday, November 9th as they travel to Brunswick, Georgia to take on the Mariners of Coastal Georgia. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM EST.
