Montgomery, AL - The Knights were on the road in Montgomery, Alabama this past weekend as they took part in the SSAC/Sun Challenge. The Knights were set to play St. Thomas University on Friday, November 4th and Ave Maria University on Saturday, November 5th. The Knights would start off the game against St. Thomas by scoring the first four points but the Bobcats would close the gap as the lead would trade hands a number of times before the Knights would trail 14-11 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter would be one to forget as the Knights would be outscored 19-9 in the quarter and would trail by 13 points going into the halftime break. The Knights would outscore the Bobcats in the third quarter 15-12 but the deficit would be too large as the Knights would go on to lose 70-57. The Knights would come back on Saturday looking to get back on the winning track. The Knights would fall behind early as the Gyrenes would score the first nine points of the quarter but the Knights would make a comeback as they would end the quarter with a 14-13 lead. The second quarter would be the Knights demise for a second straight day as they would be outscored 25-13 and would trail 42-31 at halftime. The Knights would play well in the third and fourth quarters but would be unable to comeback as they would lose 81-67. The Knights will hit the road again for two exhibition games against Kennesaw State University on November 10th and Georgia Southwestern on November 15th.
