New Orleans, LA - The Knights were back in action on Saturday, December 17th as they traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to take on the Wolfpack of Loyola University. The Knights were coming off of a loss to the University of Mobile and were looking to break their losing streak. The Knights would start off the game getting out to a three point lead before the Wolfpack would draw them back in. The first half would be closely contested until 12:04 remaining in the half when the Wolfpack would slowly start to pull away from the Knights. The Knights deficit would grow to double digits but the Knights would close the gap down to six points at the halftime break. The Knights would come out of the break scoring the first seven points of the second half as they would regain the lead. The game would stay close with the Knights gain a four point advantage with 11:01 remaining in the game. The game would continue to be a back and forth game all the way until the final buzzer. The Knights would tie the game at 76-76 with 12 seconds left before the Wolfpack would hit the game-winning shot with just tenths of a second remaining.
Maliek Sadler led the Knights with 29 points with
Brice Martin adding 25 points. Both players had nine rebounds. The Knights will be back in action on December 30th for an exhibition game against the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern before returning to SSAC action against Brewton-Parker College on January 5th.
