Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on their home court on Thursday as they hosted the Eagles of Faulkner University as they looked to end their 5-game losing streak. The Knights and Eagles would play a close first quarter with lots of scoring as they would trade the lead multiple times early in the quarter before the Eagles would take the lead with 3:20 remaining in the quarter and hold onto it for the remainder of the quarter as the Knights would be down 21-20. The second quarter would remain the same as the lead would continue to trade hands with neither team having more than a three point lead but the Knights would go into halftime down 32-31. The Knights would grab the lead immediately after the break but the Eagles would go on a run that the Knights would be unable to answer. The Knights would end the third quarter down 52-46 and would continue to fall behind as the Eagles would extend their lead to as much as 20 points. The Knights would try and make a comeback, cutting the lead down to nine points, but the Eagles would hit their free throws down the stretch and the Knights would go on to lose 75-60.
Destanee Wright would lead the Knights in scoring with 18 points and
Rykia Pennamon would get a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Knights losing streak grows to six games as they will look to end that streak on Saturday, February 12th as they host the Rams of the University of Mobile. Tip-off will be at 12 PM EST.
