Cochran, GA - The Knights were at home on Saturday as they celebrated Senior Day with a matchup against the Rams of the University of Mobile. The Knights were looking to end their six-game losing streak. The Knights would score the first basket of the game but the Rams would score the next seven points of the game and the Knights would fall behind. The Knights would get the game within three points late in the first quarter but would be down 14-9 at the end of the quarter. The Knights would score the first bucket of the second quarter as well but the Rams would have an answer for every Knights basket. The Knights would find some momentum late in the quarter as they would score the final eight points of the second quarter to go into halftime with the 35-34 lead. The Knights would go up by five points to start the third quarter but the Rams would keep them within reach. The game would be tied late in the third quarter and would remain tied at 53-53 going into the fourth quarter. The Knights and Rams would trade the lead throughout the fourth quarter until the Knights would falter late in the quarter and would go on to lose 72-66. Rykia Pennamon led the Knights with 16 points as Kassidy Broussard and Destanee Wright would each reach double figures off the bench. The Knights will hit the road this week as they travel to Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama for a game on Monday, February 14th. Tip-off will be at 5:30 PM CST.
