Mobile, AL - The Knights were on the road on Wednesday as they traveled to take on the Rams of the University of Mobile. The Knights lost a close game against the Rams at home earlier in the week and were looking to see if they could return the favor by beating the Rams on the road. The Knights would get off to a good start as they would score the first two baskets off the game to go up 4-0. The Rams would come back with seven straight points midway through the first quarter and the Knights would never be able to re-take the lead as they would be down 19-14 at the end of the first quarter. The Knights would fight back in the second quarter, getting within two points, but the Rams would have an answer for every Knights attempt to regain the lead. The Knights would fall behind late in the quarter as they would be down 33-25 at halftime. The third quarter would see the Knights unable to keep the Rams within reach as they Rams would quickly extend their lead to double digits and the Knights would be down by 20 points at the end of the third quarter. The deficit for the Knights would only continue to grow as they would fall behind by as many as 28 points before recovering to lose 78-57. Destanee Wright led the Knights with 18 points and eight rebounds. The Knights will be back on the road for their final regular season game on Saturday, February 19th as they travel to Talladega, Alabama to take on the Tornadoes of Talladega College. Tip-off will be at 12 PM CST.
