Knights Take Two From Tornadoes

Talladega, AL - The Knights were on the road this weekend as they were set to take on the Tornadoes of Talladega College for a three game series. Weather delayed the start of series to Saturday and Sunday. The Knights would get on the scoreboard first as Rafael Gomez Jr would hit a two-run single in the third inning to put the Knights up 2-0. The Knights would get an RBI single from Derick Stager in the fifth inning and a solo home run from Brody Little in the seventh inning as they looked poised to take the first game of the series. The Tornadoes would not go down quietly as they would score three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Knights would be up 4-3. The Knights would get an insurance run in the top of the ninth inning after Brian Herrera would draw a walk with the bases loaded to put the Knights up 5-3. The Knights would be unable to hold onto the lead in the ninth inning as the Tornadoes would walk the game off with three runs in the bottom half of the inning and the Knights would lose the first game.
