Cochran, GA - The Knights were at home on Tuesday as they hosted the #11 Grizzlies from Georgia Gwinnett College for a mid-week non-conference game. The Knights were coming off a disappointing weekend and were looking to turn things around. The Knights would look good to start the game as they would get three straight singles with two outs to get on the board first. The Knights would get two more runs in the first inning, both on bases loaded walks, to take a 3-0 lead. The Knights would score another run in the second inning on an error by the Grizzlies that would give the Knights a 4-0 lead. The Knights would break the game open in the third inning as they would score six runs on two hits and two errors, highlighted by
Ryan Wilson's grand slam, as the Knights would take a 10-0 lead after three innings. The Knights offense would continue to roll in the fourth inning as they would score three more runs to make it a 13-0 game. The offense would slow down after the fourth inning but the Knights would not need any more offense as
Garrett Martin would keep the Grizzlies from starting any rallies as he was perfect through five innings. The Grizzlies would get a run in the seventh inning but the Knights would get the 13-1 victory. The Knights will be back in action on Friday, April 22nd as they host the Rams from the University of Mobile. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM EST.
