Mount Vernon, GA - The Knights were on the road on Tuesday as they traveled to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. The Knights previously played the Barons at home and and swept the Barons so they were looking to do the same on the road. The Knights would get on the board in the first game in the third inning after an error would allow the run to score and the Knights would take a 1-0 lead. The Knights would score two more runs in the fourth inning on an
Addison Renfroe two run double to extend their lead to 3-0. The Knights would add on one more run in the fifth inning on a
Georgia Bice RBI double and the Knights would take a 4-0 lead and go on to win the game by the same score.
Beth Eddins would throw the complete game shutout, giving up five hit and striking out six batters. The Knights would try to complete the sweep in the second game as they would score one run in the first inning on an
Emma Raulerson RBI single to take a 1-0 lead. The Knights would give up two runs in the fourth inning and one run in the sixth inning as the bats would cool off and the Knights would lose the second game of the day 3-1. The Knights will be back at home on Friday, April 22nd as they take on the Tornadoes of Talladega College. First pitch is scheduled for 2 PM EST.
