Macon, GA - The Knights were on the road for the first conference road trip as they traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Friday, September 16th to take on the Tigers of Stillman College. The Knights were looking for their first conference win of the season. The first set would be close early but the Knights would pull away from the Tigers as they would win the first set 25-13. The second set would also start out close before the Knights would win the last 12 points of the set to win 25-8. The Knights would jump out to an early lead in the final set and go on to win 25-14.
Allison Carter led the Knights with 18 kills as
Ellison Johnson and
Hannah Spalding would each reach double digits in assists. The Knights would remain on the road on Saturday, September 17th as they would head to Blue Mountain, Mississippi to take on the Toppers of Blue Mountain College. The Knights would look to hold on to their momentum and get the upset victory. The first set of the match would not go the way of the Knights as they fell behind early and would lose the set 25-7. The Knights would start off the second set by winning the first four points but the Toppers would storm back as the Knights would lose the second set 25-10. The Knights would start the third set by keeping the score close early on but the Toppers would string together multiple points and the Knights would lose the third set 25-13. The Knights will be back on the road on Thursday, September 22nd as they travel to Decatur, Georgia to take on the Scotties of Agnes Scott College. The match is set to start at 7 PM EST.
