Montgomery, AL - The Knights were on the road on Thursday, January 12th as they traveled to Montgomery, Alabama to take on the Eagles of Faulkner University. The Knights were coming off of a close loss to Stillman College and were looking to right the ship. The Knights would start off the first quarter by matching the Eagles as the game would be close. The Eagles would take control halfway through the first quarter as the Knights would fall behind and would be down 25-14 at the end of the first quarter. The Knights would start to come back in the second quarter as they would slowly creep back closer to the Eagles, closing the lead down to one point with 2:12 remaining the quarter, but the Eagles would make a couple of shots and the Knights would be down 37-32 at the halftime break. The Knights would come out slowly in the third quarter as the deficit would reach nine points before the Knights would come back again and the game would be tied 50-50 at the end of the third quarter. The Knights luck would run out in the fourth quarter as the Eagles would pull away, outscoring the Knights 28-14 in the fourth quarter, as the Knights would lose 78-64.
Kassidy Broussard would lead the Knights with 17 points as three other Knights would reach double digits in scoring with
Destanee Wright and
Brianna McRae each scoring 13 points and
Michaela Mobley scoring 11 points. The Knights will be back in action on Monday, January 16th as they host the Tornadoes of Talladega College. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:00 PM EST.
