Cochran, GA - The Knights were back at home on Monday, January 16th as they hosted the Tornadoes of Talladega College. The Knights were looking to end a losing streak of three games. The Knights would start off the game slow as they would fall behind from the start but they would keep the Tornadoes close as the Knights would only be down by three points at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was full of missed shots by both teams with the first point coming after over three minutes had passed in the quarter. The Knights would continue to keep the Tornadoes close as they would eventually tie the game going into the halftime break at 17-17. The Knights offense would explode in the third quarter and the defense would stand strong as the Knights would outscore the Tornadoes 24-5 and the Knights looked to be well on their way to a victory. The Knights lead would grow to 23 points in the fourth quarter as the Tornadoes would try to make a comeback late but the Knights would hold on for the 56-45 victory.
Destanee Wright led the Knights with 17 points and 10 rebounds as three other Knights would reach double digits in scoring. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, January 19th as they host the University of Mobile. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
