Thomasville, GA - The Knights were in action on New Year's Eve as they traveled to Thomasville, Georgia to take on the Nighthawks for the second time this season. The Knights defeated the Nighthawks at home earlier in the season and were looking to do it again.The Knights would start off by keeping the game close early in the first quarter before the Nighthawks would jump out to a nine point lead. The Knights would rally to close the gap as they would trail 15-12 at the end of the first quarter. The Knights would continue their run into the second quarter as they would take the lead before the Nighthawks would recover and the Knights would trail by seven points going into the halftime break. The Knights defense would step up in the third quarter as they would hold the Nighthawks to nine points while scoring 21 points as they would lead 41-36 at the end of the third quarter. The defense for the Knights would continue to hold strong in the fourth quarter as the Knights would go on to win 63-51.
Destanee Wright led the Knights with 18 points off the bench as
Kassidy Broussard would add 17 points and
Lashauna Coley would add 14 points. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, January 5th as they travel to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 PM EST.
