Thomasville, GA - The Knights were on the road on Thursday, November 9th as they traveled to Thomasville, Georgia to take on the Nighthawks of Thomas University. It was the first conference game of the season for the Knights and the two teams were picked in the preseason to be the bottom two teams in the conference. The Knights were coming off of a tough loss at home and were looking to correct some mistakes. The game would start out fairly even as the Knights and Nighthawks would keep each other in check before the Nighthawks would take a slight lead late in the first quarter as the Knights would be down 15-10. The Knights would continue to trail in the second quarter as they would come within two points of the Nighthawks but the Knights could never take the lead back from the Nighthawks as they would trail 32-26 at the halftime break. The Knights would come out of the break looking sluggish as they would only score eight points in the third quarter and would trail 52-34 at the end of the third quarter. The Knights would try to make a comeback as they would outscore the Nighthawks 22-12 in the fourth quarter but the deficit would be too large as the Knights would lose 64-56. Vanessa Samuel led the Knights with 15 points as Dymon Cook would come off the bench and score 10 points. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, November 16th a they will host the first home conference game against UT-Southern. That game is set to tip-off at 5:30 PM EST.
