Cochran, GA - The Knights were at home on Thursday, November 17th as they hosted the Firehawks of UT-Southern. The Knights have a history of success against the Firehawks, formerly the Redhawks, and they were looking to continue the trend. The Knights would get off to a hot start as they would jump out to a six point lead in the first quarter but the Firehawks would close the gap late and the Knights would end the first quarter up 17-15. The Knights would continue their hot start in the second quarter as they would jump back out to a six point lead before heading into the halftime break up 28-24. The Knights would start to pull away in the third quarter as they would extend their lead to as much as 11 points and would head into the final quarter with an eight point lead. The Firehawks would do their best to make the game close as they would shrink the Knights lead down to four points but the Knights would pull away in the later stages of the fourth quarter, getting out to a 14 point lead before end ing the game with a 70-62 victory. Asia Waiters adding 12 points off the bench. The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, November 18th as they host the Tigers of Stillman College. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 PM EST.
