Cochran, GA - The Knights were back in action on Tuesday, November 7th as they hosted the Mariners of Coastal Georgia in the first home game of the season. The Knights had played the Mariners twice already in the season, splitting the two games. The Knights would start off the game slow as the Mariners would jump out to an early lead. The Knights would stay within reach as they would end the first quarter down 18-13. The Knights would keep the game close in the second quarter as they would get within two points of the Mariners but could never grab the lead as they would go into the halftime break down 29-25. The Knights would come out of the break cold as they deficit would grow to 12 points but the Knights would get back to within six points as the quarter would end with the Knights down 44-36. The Knights would fight back in the fourth quarter as the deficit would shrink to one point but the Knights would run out of steam as the Knights would lose the game 67-53. The Knights would have two players, Vanessa Samuel and Lashauna Coley, reach double digits in scoring. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, November 9th as they will hit the road for the first conference game of the season as they travel to Thomasville, Georgia to take on the Nighthawks of Thomas University. That game is set to tip-off at 5:30 PM EST.
