Denmark, SC - The Knights were back on the road on Monday, January 30th as they traveled to Denmark, South Carolina to take on the Tigers of Voorhees University. The Knights were coming off of a victory over Life University and were looking to keep riding the momentum. The Knights looked strong early in the first quarter as they would score the first seven points of the game. The Knights lead would shrink down to one point before the offense would get back on track and the Knights would go up 18-12 at the end of the quarter. The lead for the Knights would fluctuate between three and six points throughout the second quarter and the Knights would hold a 33-26 lead at halftime. The lead for the Knights would grow in the third quarter as the lead would grow to as much as 14 points before the Knights would finish the third quarter up 48-35. The Knights would continue to expand their lead in the fourth quarter as they would go up by as many as 19 points with 6:11 remaining in the game before the Tigers would try and make a comeback. The Knights would hold on to their lead as they would go on to win 64-56.
Destanee Wright led the Knights with 22 points and 10 rebounds. The Knights will be back in action at home on Thursday, February 2nd as they host the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
