Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Thomasville, GA - The Knights were back on the road in Thomasville, Georgia for a mid-week series with the Nighthawks of Thomas University. The Knights were coming off of two home sweeps and were looking to carry that momentum into this series. The first game of the day would be a tight one as neither team could gain an edge over the other as both teams would remain scoreless until the seventh inning. The Knights would strike first as Addison Renfroe would lead off the inning with a single. Logan Blizzard would hit into the fielder's choice but a wild throw would allow her to move to second base. Alexis Cosgrove would come up and hit the RBI single to put the Knights up 1-0. The Knights would give the run back up in the bottom half of the inning and the game would go into extra innings. The Knights would get a runner up to third base but could not capitalize and the Nighthawks would score in the bottom half of the inning to hand the Knights a 2-1 loss. The second game of the day would see more scoring than the first game as the Knights would score four runs in the second inning on a two-run double from Summer Lawrence, an RBI single from Lauren Heath, and a RBI triple from Morgan Windham. The Knights would give a run in the third inning and two runs in the fifth inning but would hold on for the 4-3 victory. The series split moves the Knights to 6-2 as they head into Friday's series with Columbia International University. First pitch is scheduled for 11 AM EST.
