Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on the court at home on Thursday, February 2nd as they hosted the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. It was a special night as Coach Moe took part in Coaches vs Cancer, a collaboration between the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the American Cancer Society, where basketball coaches wear tennis shoes in honor of those fighting cancer. Coach Moe was wearing tennis shoes in honor of Sarah Martin, a close family member who is currently battling cancer. The Knights would start off the game by taking an early lead as they would jump out to a nine point lead before the barons would cut the lead sown to two points. The Knights would regain control of the game and extend their lead to 15 points with 7:19 remaining in the first half. The Barons would try and make a comeback but the Knights would keep them from doing so as the Knights would go into halftime with a 43-24 lead. The Knights would grow the lead to 24 points but the Barons would cut it down to an 18 point lead with 13:04 remaining in the game. It would be the closest the Knights would let them get as the Knights would extend their lead to as much as 31 points before winning the game 80-51. Pierles Brown and Maliek Sadler led the Knights with 15 points each as the knights would have three other players reach double digits in scoring. The Knights will look for another victory on Saturday, February 4th as they travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to take on the Tigers of Stillman College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 PM CST.
