Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on their home field on Tuesday, March 14th as they hosted the 5th-ranked Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett College for a mid-week game. The Knights were coming off of a conference weekend that saw them win two out of three games from Faulkner University and the Knights were looking to continue their upward trend. The Knights would give up two runs in the first inning but would come back in the third inning with three runs, scoring on an error and getting a 2-run single from Josiah Rivera, as they would take the 3-2 lead after the first inning. Both offenses would cool off until the fifth inning when the Grizzlies would score three runs and the Knights would fall behind 5-3. The Knights offense could not reignite adn the Grizzlies would start to pull away as they would score one run in the sixth inning and three runs in the seventh inning and the Knights would be behind 9-3. The Knights would get a run in the ninth inning on a Brian Herrera walk with a wild pitch allowing Jake Edwards to score from third but the Knights would be unable to score any more runs and the Knights would lose 9-4. The Knights loss moves their record to 12-12 as they get ready to play another conference series this weekend as they host the Toppers of Blue Mountain College with a doubleheader scheduled for Friday and the series finale scheduled for Saturday.
